Description:

Whether we’re trying to balance the rights of victims and offenders, create just laws or protect communities, we often look to the criminal justice system for solutions. In the Criminology degree program at Toronto Metropolitan University (TMU), you’ll develop a well-rounded perspective, uncovering social inequalities, crime prevention strategies and rehabilitation efforts. You'll get real-world experience through international exchanges, optional paid co-op placements, research and case studies. When you graduate, you'll be ready to critically examine issues in law, human rights, Indigenous justice, ethics, crime control and social inequality. You'll also apply your understanding of the critical issues of race, class and gender to the administration of the criminal justice system.

Completion of the Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD), 6 Grade 12 U or M courses with a minimum overall average of 70%, and the following required Grade 12 U courses (minimum grade of 70% in each):

  • English/anglais (ENG4U/EAE4U preferred)

Applicants not educated in Ontario must submit evidence of education equivalent to the OSSD with six Grade 12 U or M courses.
